Marinated BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients :
- 2 chicken thighs (approx. 500-600 g)
- 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce (homemade or your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper

Preparation : Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water and dry thoroughly.

Prepare the marinade : In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, olive oil, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper until you get a homogeneous marinade.

Marinate : Place the chicken thighs in the marinade and rub well to cover them completely. It is best to let the thighs marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours to intensify the flavor.

Preheat the air fryer : Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C so that it is optimally ready for cooking.

Cooking : Place the marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 25-30 minutes. Flip the thighs halfway through cooking to ensure even browning and perfect BBQ flavor.

Final cooking time : In the last 5 minutes you can increase the temperature to 200 °C to achieve an even crispier BBQ crust.

Check and serve : Make sure the internal temperature of the chicken is at least 75°C. Once cooked, let the thighs rest briefly before serving. Enjoy with a fresh salad, potatoes or your favorite side dish!
